Whether using organic soil or semi-hydro, the wrong medium creates unnecessary challenges. Compacted Soil & Poor Drainage – Organic soils break down over time, becoming dense and suffocating roots. This leads to slow growth, poor oxygen flow, and an increased risk of root rot. Inconsistent Moisture in Semi-Hydro – Some substrates, like LECA, don’t retain moisture evenly.
