BUTTERWORTS CARE GUIDE

Nature’s original sticky trap, pinguicula moranensis, or ‘Ping’ for short, also known as the Mexican Butterwort. In my opinion, the ‘prettiest’ of carnivorous plants. An exotic beauty native to Mexico and Central America, this charming plant is perfect for Canadian enthusiasts looking to expand their carnivorous plant family. JUNIPER BONSAI CARE GUIDE

Juniper Bonsai are a great beginner Bonsai. With that said, this is NOT considered an indoor bonsai, so you do need to be mindful of its care. Like any plant, you can mimic its natural environment and raise indoors provided you replicate those conditions. During the summer, provide with 6 plus hours of direct sunlight or otherwise under a bright grow lamp. Keep humidity around 50-70% (slightly above the average home). A personal favourite of the carnivorous plant family. Native to Canada and provincial flower of Newfoundland and Labrador. Easy to grow and hardy. Like most carnivorous plants they have some specific care requirements for success. Be sure to provide plenty of bright direct sunlight, above average humidity and to keep soil consistently moist. Never fertilize the soil and only use a carnivorous soil mix. You can gamble with your tap water if it is below 90 PPM (TDS), but for guaranteed results, use only distilled or rain water. NEPENTHES CARE GUIDE

In my opinion, Nepenthes are the deadliest of the carnivorous plant family. A tropical vine that grows up to 30 feet long with 9 inch pitchers, capable of eating small rodents and lizards. Native to the Philippines. Easy to grow but slow to mature . Like most carnivorous plants they have some specific care requirements for success. Be sure to provide plenty of bright direct sunlight, high humidity and to keep soil consistently moist. While the soil can handle some fertilizer, it is best to feed them via their traps. Carnivorous soil mix is highly preferred. You can gamble with your tap water if it is below 150 PPM (TDS), but for guaranteed results, use only distilled or rain water. VENUS FLY TRAP CARE GUIDE
